Community Remembrance Project- Veterans Banner Order Form

Eligibility:

  • Any man or woman, living or decreased, who served, or continues to serve, Canada or its allies, in a war, on a peacekeeping mission, or in the Cold War, served or active in the military, the merchant marines, or in the nursing or other medical corps during the conflict.
  • The person should have some connection to the Parry Sound District (born here, grew up here, lived here, or related to a current resident)
  • There must be a picture of the person available of sufficient resolution to put on a banner. Pictures must be 300dpi or higher, and submitted as a jpg or pdf file. 

Where and when will banners be displayed:

  • The banners will be displayed every year in Downtown Parry Sound from Thanksgiving Weekend and will be removed following Remembrance Day.

Cost of Sponsorship:

  • Individuals, families or organizations can sponsor one side of a banner to honour one veteran for a cost of $135.00.
  • Banners will be displayed for as many years as it remains in good repair; when normal wear and tear prevents its display, sponsors will have the option to replace it.
  • Mini-banners that can be displayed in a home will also be available for $30.00. These banners are one-sided and 14 inches long by 6 inches wide.

How to order:

  • Download and complete the Veteran Banner Order Form and deliver to the Town Office at 52 Seguin Street, during regular business hours, or 
  • Select continue to complete the Veteran Banner Order Form online.
